Roulette Systems

The game of roulette is one that requires a fine understanding to truly master. However, there are a lot of roulette systems that are in place that can help you get a chance at approaching the game at your own pace. However, these roulette systems to win require a fair bit of explanation because they attempt to do different things within the framework of the game. As such, we’re going to explain the various elements of these systems so you can understand what a system is, how to use it, and which systems are best. It’s important to note that none of these strategies is going to let you game the system in a consistent, measurable way; they are good approaches to the game, though.

What is a roulette system?

In order to understand the roulette systems that work, it’s important to know what is a roulette system? Basically, these different systems are a way for you to approach the game, bet a certain way, bet a certain amount, and then hopefully walk away with wins.

There are generally two different kinds of betting strategies that are seen with the roulette systems. They are progressive and non-progressive betting systems. Each of these systems is designed to provide you with a chance at winning in a certain way. We’ll go into each of them in more depth in the following section.

However, for now, it’s enough to know that these systems allow you to bet for a round and then adjust your approach based on a win or loss to keep you earning money and to prevent you from sinking into debt. These systems work with American roulette, European roulette, and French roulette, and they require a fair amount of work to master. However, there are some players that swear by these systems, insisting that they give you the best outcomes. We’ll start by looking at the different kinds of strategies, provide samples of them, and show why you want to use one or the other as your roulette systems for 2020 and beyond.

Types of Roulette Strategies

Generally speaking, there are two kinds of roulette systems that work free from unsavory actions. They are called progressive betting systems and non-progressive betting systems. These systems can help you in a variety of ways, but they are very distinct from one another. Here is what you need to know.

Progressive Betting

The basics of progressive betting roulette systems and strategies are that your bet changes, or progresses, as the game goes on. For example, the Martingale system is a form of progressive betting that encourages the player to double their bet with every turn of the wheel. That way, you increase your bet to cover any of the losses that you incur while also keeping your bets bolstered so that you can earn money as well.

While some people use this on outside bets, it’s a system that is designed to work with inside bets, which hit less frequently for the player, but they also have the benefit of winning you more real money. So, when you hit with a bet after several rounds, you’re looking at substantial earnings.

The downside of a progressive betting system is that you can easily find yourself in the hole. It’s a maneuver that is just as risky for stakes as it is fun, but it’s all about measured risks.

Bet Progression
Martingale Fibonacci
1 1
2 1
4 2
8 3
16 5
32 8
64 13
128 21
256 34
512 55
1024 89
2048 144

Non-Progressive Betting

When looking at a typical roulette systems strategy, you can also find non-progressive betting. As you might imagine, the idea behind a non-progressive system is that you will find a single amount to bet from the beginning of the game until the end or you will change it when you want. That means there are no specific increases in the amount of money that you bet while playing roulette.

One of the most famous versions of this system is the James Bond betting system. You end up covering over half of the board this way and placing strategic bets for the inside and outside, so you gain your bets back or earn money with a higher likelihood than losing money.

As you can see, the two different kinds of betting are important for different reasons. Now, it’s time to get more in-depth about the different roulette systems that actually work.

Best-Known Roulette Strategy Systems

If you’re looking for a method to win at roulette, then you’ve come to the right place. We’re going to cover some of the best progressive and non-progressive betting systems that are known throughout the world. We’ll start with the progressive versions, so get ready to track the ball the next time you’re at a table.

Best-Known Roulette Strategy Systems

The Martingale System: The first system that we’ll look at is called the Martingale System. This is a progressive betting system that is mostly desired when you are betting on the outside numbers of a roulette layout. In this case, you will start betting on things like even and odd, 1-18 and 19-36, and roulette systems for red and black. That way, you have a high chance of winning but only a 1:1 payout, so you win what you bet.  It is important to note that you will double your bet every time you lose. They are very safe bets and you will increase your bet thusly:

1 – 2 – 4 – 8 – 16 – 32 – 64 – 128 – 256 – 512 – 1024 – 2048 – 4096 – 8192. It is noteworthy that even the pros will only use this system in the short term because of the danger that exists for you to lose a lot of money when you go on a bad streak. However, it’s a nice way to bet for people that are new to roulette and not putting down serious amounts of money.

The Paroli System also known as the Reverse Martingale

As the name implies, you will use the Reverse Martingale to get the opposite effect of using the aforementioned system, but it is still progressive in nature. In this case, you will double your bet after every win instead of doubling it every time you lose. So, you will start over at the smallest margin when you lose in a round of this system.

The advantage is that you have a lower chance of losing a lot of money at once that you face when you are using the Martingale system. The major downside is that you have to know when to stop or you can take away all of your earnings with one bout of bad luck. So, if you find yourself earning quite a bit, you can call the win early and back out and bank half your earnings and bet the rest.

The D’Ambert System

This system is similar to the one that we posed in the Martingale system where you increase your bet, but you don’t keep doubling down after a loss, so the progression is known as “flat”, which has upsides and downsides.

You will use this system for the outside bets only, when you have close to a 50% chance of winning, not accounting for the 0 and 00 on the wheel. You will decrease your bets when you win and then increase them when you lose. So, here is what can happen:

Round 1 Bet1 Result Win Profilt1

Round 2 Bet1 Result Win Profit 1

Round 3 Bet1 Result Loss Profit-1

Round 4 Bet 2 Result Loss Profit -2

Round 5 Bet3 Result Loss Profit -3

This can continue for several rounds until you start winning again or step away.

The way it works out, you will likely get a profit even when you break even in terms of wins and losses. It’s a very safe way of betting that a lot of new people use.

Example of The d’Alembert Roulette System Betting Session

#2 Red 50 Black Lose 50 0
#3 Black 100 Red Lose 100 -100
#4 Black 150 0 Lose 150 -250
#5 Black 200 Black Win 200 -50
#6 Red 50 Black Lose 50 -100
#7 Red 100 Black Lose 100 -200
#8 Red 150 Red Win 150 -50
#9 Black 50 Black Win 50 0
#10 Red 50 0 Lose 50 -50

Non-Progressive Systems

There are several systems that are not progressive in the manner in which they work, so you will bet different amounts that are not tied to the round.

James Bond Roulette Strategy

Named after the famous movies and books, the James Bond roulette strategy is one of the ways that people look to for how to win at roulette strategy. After all, who doesn’t want to be 007?

The system that is used here is flat betting. In other words, when you are betting with this, you’re putting down the same amount of money for every bet. If you started off in Great Britain like the operative, you would bet:

That way, you will cover the vast majority of the board’s numbers and the 0. You can win 25 ways and lose 12. So, here is how this can turn out for you:

However, that doesn’t mean you’re winning every time because that would be gaming the system and that can’t happen. So, it comes down to luck, but at least you have a lot of different ways to win while you’re playing this version of the game.

Another strategy to do when playing non-progressive systems is betting on neighboring numbers. You are placing a bet on five numbers next to each other on the wheel. These are called and announced bets, so it’s something that is more typical in French roulette than any other sort.

Is There a Roulette System That Really Works?

So, we’ve reviewed many of the systems that are in place for roulette in the modern-day. Now the question of whether there is a roulette system that defies the odds and helps you beat the casino every time you spin a ball. The answer is no: you still need some luck if you have any hope of coming up with a win against the house.

While some of these systems will give you a good chance, there is no fool-proof method that you can input into the game to give you an edge. After all, the casinos wouldn’t allow that since they have to bankroll the system. If someone came into the casino with millions and was able to win consistently, they would lose their business. That being said, the systems we’ve mentioned here will give you a good shot at getting some earning at least, but don’t expect to become a millionaire while you’re shooting the Martingale system.

There are many different roulette systems that are in place in the modern game. Whether you are betting progressive or non-progressive, you are going to have fun, and you need to keep an eye on the game. These strategies might help you contextualize the game better, but they are far from a way for you to win every time that you step up to the table.

Make sure that you are reasonable with the bets that you place on the table and know when to walk away. Always have a budget in mind, and then keep to that budget to prevent overspending.
